The Retro Fit Fastening System (RFFS) is a robust, user friendly face shield attachment device that enables the user to easily mount and take off an anti riot, NIJ Level II and Level IIIA polycarbonate face shield from an ACH, PASGT or Combat ballistic helmet.

The face shield fully covers the face area; and is moved up and down by simply pushing the face shield with one hand into its 3 positions: fully up, 45 degrees and fully down. The face shield can also be used with a full-face gas mask. The anti riot face shield has a liquid seal avoiding liquids to enter the area between the helmet and the visor.

The RFFS fastens itself around the helmet securely with a strong and flexible retro fit band, with an adjustable buckle; which can fit over all styles and sizes of helmets.

Place the helmet on a flat surface, with its front facing you. Make sure the buckle is loose. Open the holding straps and attach the two anchor clips on to the lip of the helmet. Make sure that the retro fit band is parallel to the lip of the helmet at the front.
Close the buckle. If the buckle will not close, adjust it until it fits tightly onto the helmet.
